Holiday Workshop - Thriving During the Holidays

November 14, 2007 – Albany, OR - Local author, Debra J. Slover will offer two free sessions of her holiday workshop entitled Thriving during the Holidays. Debra will share the tools and techniques she has learned and developed to help us thrive in face of difficultly and stress. Our senses are heightened during the holiday season. It may be the remembrance of lost loved ones or difficult family situations.

In the thirty years since her mother's death by suicide, Debra has developed an entirely new perspective on leadership and life. One that emphasizes the fact that we are the only true leaders of our lives and that embracing that realization helps us to draw upon our unique personal power to create the life we choose.

The sessions will be interactive and include the completion of the Leader Balance Wheel from her book U.N.I.Q.U.E. Growing the Leader Within to help you access your current leadership behavior. A Holiday Tips guide using the six leader-friendly practices will also be provided.

Debra brings to bear her experience and skills as a leadership trainer, coach, and motivational speaker to help others understand that it is their unique purpose and aim that will sustain them in the face of adversity. Guilt, grief, and the resulting inertia can be overcome by getting access to the leader in you.

Two sessions will be held in the Community Meeting Room at Ray's Food Place, 621 Hickory St. NW in the North Albany, Albany, Oregon.
