You Can Help
Writing and publishing U.N.I.Q.U.E: Growing the Leader Within has given me the opportunity to donate a portion of the proceeds to support the work of OSSOM, Inc. and Hands to Heart International, a nonprofit started by a former OSSOM staff members of mine. Through their unique and extraordinary leadership, these charitable organizations help sprout the seeds of greatness in children.
Operation Student Safety On the Move (OSSOM):
OSSOM, Inc, a nonprofit organization designed to empower youth leadership, promotes safe and healthy communities during the transition from adolescence to young adulthood. It operates from the premise of what if every child:
- - knew that they could make a positive difference
- - took responsibility for their actions, attitude, and choices
- - was given the skills and opportunities to impact the lives of their peers
It is truly OSSOM (pronounced like AWESOME). To learn more, visit: http://www.ossom.org
Hands to Hearts International (HHI):
HHI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of orphaned children and economically disadvantaged women around the globe. HHI transforms orphanage care by training and then employing local women in the language, social, cognitive, and physical skills necessary for healthy early childhood development. Trainees learn how they can promote a child's growth in each area as well as the vital importance of attachment and bonding. Women hired by HHI provide individualized nanny-like care to two to four babies/children awaiting their adoptive families. To learn more, visit: http://www.handstohearts.org
